This weekend, the Icebox Cafe is hosting a Motown-inspired brunch with an all-inclusive, fixed-price menu, and Kush Hialeah is hosting another edition of “Kok Sh * t Bingo.” Also, the Doral Yard is home to Burgers and Bao, and you can enjoy the Air & Sea Show in style and explore restaurants and bars that offer Memorial Day specials.

Motown Brunch at the Icebox Cafe

On Saturday, the Icebox Cafe Hallandale Beach channels the 60s with a Motown brunch with rock ‘n’ soul singer Angie Griffin and pianist Antulio Mora. The fixed-price brunch has a range of classics, from eggs benedict to lemon and ricotta pancakes. The meal also includes a selection of drinks, including a mimosa, a bellini, a bloody mary or a glass of rose wine. Kok Sh * t Bingo at Kush Hialeah

Visit Kush Hialeah on Sunday for another edition of Kok Sh * t Bingo. Buy drinks to get a free ticket with a matching number. Then, at precisely 3:05 p.m., a live chicken is placed in an outdoor chicken coop with a bingo board underneath. No matter what number the chicken poops on, it wins, although you have to wait for the chicken to do its business. Tickets for the raffle are limited, but can be purchased when purchasing any Skyy vodka cocktail (one ticket per drink) or with a donation to Miami Animal Rescue (two tickets). Prizes include a $ 50 Kush Hospitality Group gift card, $ 50 Kush Hialeah bar tab, and swag bags. There is also a performance by the bluegrass band Lonewolf and a whole alligator serves Caja China-Style. Note from the Kush team: No chicken will be hurt or served during the event. Start the summer season on Saturday with the Downtown Doral Burger and Bao: a Kickoff to Summer event. From 2pm to 5pm, enjoy burgers and bao buns from Bachour Restaurant & Bar, Bulla Gastropub, plant-based Della Bowls and Yip while listening to the beats of DJ Omar Leon. Stay for a performance by Sintonia of the 13th Army Band, an ensemble of musicians who play salsa music. Grove Bay Hospitality Group’s Public Square is behind a sweet and savory Sunday brunch in Coral Gables, which is served every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Bearnaise Sauce ($ 18); a bagel with limoncello-smoked salmon, Boursin cheese, a hard-boiled egg, and roasted tomatoes ($ 18); and chicken and waffles with spicy honey sauce and maple syrup ($ 24). The desserts range from Nutella waffles to French toast with orange crème anglaise, meringue and orange jam.
