Tamarac Shooting Under Investigation; Commercial Boulevard Westbound Lanes Closed – CBS Miami

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Broward Sheriff’s office is investigating a shootout in Tamarac that is likely to block the westbound lanes on Commercial Boulevard for hours.

BSO said the shooting took place at around 9:45 a.m. at Block 8600 on West Commercial Boulevard.

The BSO did not say whether anyone was injured or killed during the shooting as the investigation is ongoing.

Chopper 4 pictures showed a dark Mustang convertible with the doors open at the crime scene.

Authorities said the westbound lanes on Commercial Boulevard between Northwest 82nd Avenue and North Pine Island Road are closed due to the investigation.

The city of Tamarac tweeted that the lane would be closed due to an active BSO investigation and that the closure is expected to last for several hours.

Traffic will be diverted to Northwest 57th Avenue.

The authorities urge motorists to avoid the area.
