South Florida nonprofit organization hosts walkathon for special needs community

MIAMI – The 11th annual Walking4Friendship 3K will take place in the Friendship Circle of Miami on Sunday, May 3rd. This year, however, it will be a little different.

Due to Covid-19 pandemic and social distancing guidelines, the nonprofit that benefits adults and children with special needs will be bringing the popular fundraiser to virtual space. Instead of hundreds of people walking the streets of Miami together, participants are asked to run the 3K individually or with family and friends.

Clay Ferraro from Local 10 will accompany attendees throughout the event, which the organizers say will be fun and interesting for all ages.
