Seven SEPTA Police Officers Under Internal Investigation After Attending Pro-Trump Rally In DC – CBS Philly
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Seven SEPTA police officers are the subject of an internal investigation after attending President Donald Trump’s rally in Washington, DC last week.
“They are being investigated to determine whether they were involved in inflammatory behavior or violations of our guidelines for social media,” said SEPTA Police Chief Thomas Nestel.
According to the spokesman, SEPTA received a notice that an employee was attending the rally.
Investigation of this notice revealed the participation of other officials – seven in all.
The agency wants to find out the full extent of their participation, even if they have actually entered the US Capitol.
The officers remain on duty while the investigation continues, but SEPTA will report the results of their investigation to the FBI.
