Coffee beaten. Cup cake. Seltzer slushies. These are just some of the crazy inventions that are being made on TikTok these days.

If you’ve watched these viral video tutorials and wondered who actually got this stuff, you’ve come to Miami-based Valentina Mussi, the founder of Sweet Portfolio, their Instagram brand dedicated to all things eating and drinking Miami dedicates, just right.

Today, the 24-year-old is best known for her eye-catching, easy-to-follow recipe hacks, where she shows how to make everything from adorable panda pancakes and mermaid smoothie bowls to whipped Dalalgona lattes who are all so crazy. In the past year, it has attracted over a million TikTok followers as well as collaborations with Starbucks, Wendy’s, and Papa John’s. (Some of her most popular posts to date include videos with instructions on how to make Dorito crusted fried cheese, strawberry milk, and a mermaid milkshake.)

The young content creator has also signed a contract with Simon & Schuster for her own cookbook. Scheduled for Release June 1st, The Inofficial TikTok Cookbook: 75 Internet-Breaking Recipes for Snacks, Drinks, Treats, and More! Includes instructions for drinks, snacks, and dinner.

Mussi says most of her recipes can be cooked in the break-in microwave in the office or in your college dorm.

“The goal of my cookbook is so that anyone can replicate these recipes regardless of their skill level,” Mussi told The New Times, adding that the book also includes tips on how to create your own viral video recipe post.

Mussi, born and raised in Miami, comes from an Italian-Colombian family. She attributes her unique approach to food and culture to her diverse backgrounds.

But she says that creating recipes didn’t move her to start Sweet Portfolio when she was 19 years old. Rather, she was inspired to catalog her favorite foods in and around Miami. One of the earliest magical content creators in Magic City, Mussi set out to patronize and promote the Miami dining scene. The Instagram account now has more than half a million followers.

When the lock broke, Mussi turned to a new type of content: simple snack recipes to keep her audience busy.

“Before the pandemic, I used my account to support Miami’s kitchens. People were always as interested in the process – like a chef creates a dish,” says Mussi. “I’ve always baked since I was little, but I didn’t think people would be interested in what I was doing in my own kitchen. But I couldn’t go out to share other people’s stories, so I started.” make food. “

She also started sharing videos that showed how to prepare simple dishes using common stock items. Your goal: no more than five ingredients per recipe.

Mussi’s first quarantine recipe video showed how to make Algona coffee, a preparation popular in Greece that can be easily recreated using instant coffee, sugar, and a hand blender. A week after the lockdown, 3.7 million views were recorded. Instant success earned her more than 100,000 TikTok followers in a single day.

She says one of her favorite recipes is a snack that she makes herself when she is short on time and craving her favorite food. The pizza roll braid is a simple snack with an appealing presentation that only requires three ingredients: Pillsbury batter, cheese, and hot peppers.

“This book is all about the universal love for food,” says Mussi of her inspiration. “Whether it’s the bored 20-year-old craving something fun to eat or the parents wanting to entertain their kids, this is a positive way to get through a tough time and offers something we can all get into Can find consolation. “
