Miami Influencer YesJulz Opens YesJuice Pop-Up in Miami Beach

Known for its tourist shops and restaurants, Lincoln Road might appeal to the locals thanks to YesJuice. The juice bar opened its doors to the public last Saturday.

The face behind the new café is Julieanna Goddard, AKA YesJulz, an influencer and entrepreneur from Miami who is best known for her events and party promotions. YesJuice will initially act as a six-month popup at Showfields and has plans for future expansion.

YesJuice’s menu consists of four locally made cold-pressed juices ($ 10 each), plus smoothies, cocktails, coffee and tea, desserts, and lunch options like spinach croquet ($ 4.50), stuffed avocado con pollo ($ 13), and avocado toast (13 USD) $ 15) and Gazpacho ($ 9).

Juice names reflect Miami’s personality, with each serving a different purpose. Goddard’s personal favorite, the “Yes Juice!” is a pick-me-up made from grapefruit, orange, pineapple, lime and celery, while “Never Drinking Again” promises a refreshing hangover cure with pineapple and coconut water.

YesJuice also offers cookies from Indulge MIA ($ 3.50), plant-based ice cream from Nabati ($ 6), and Jamaican patties from King Patty’s ($ 4). Melting Hippie Products sells candles with YesJuice motifs in the café shop.

“Everything I do is based on collaboration,” Goddard told the New Times. “I enjoy having great ideas and bringing them to life, but only when you do it with other people. I couldn’t have done this alone and the people on board with me are just the crème de la crème. “

In addition to the menu, Goddard said the café will promote “community, entertainment and health” through an ongoing series of events. Expect exercise and yoga classes, book clubs, brunches, dinners, and even rollerblade meetups.

“YesJuice is more than a shop, more than a cafe – it’s an opportunity for like-minded people in our community to gather together,” says Goddard.

In order to take the community a step further, she plans to hold “office hours” every week, a set time in which she is available in the café for questions about the industry, party planning, music releases and much more.

Goddard came up with YesJuice in October and managed to open the popup in about half a year.

The pandemic slowed all facets of life, but completely stopped the entertainment industry. Goddard had built her social media to promote clubs, events, concerts, music artists and brands. Suddenly she was at home and could no longer host these events or promote the work of her artists.

“It was like being home for the first time in maybe a decade,” says Goddard. “This is a time to recalibrate: if we can go outside again, what kind of people do I want to be with and what things do I want to fill my time with?”

Thinking about the pandemic led her to one realization: She wanted to focus on being healthier – and not just in terms of her diet.

“I also wanted to achieve healthy habits and a healthy, balanced schedule. I coined the term “never not working” because I like to work, but I’ve learned in recent years that it’s just as important to work on yourself, ”explains Goddard.

Goddard began researching juice bars and formulating a business plan. The final piece clicked into place when a friend visiting Jamaica posted a photo of a hand-painted sign that read “Yes Juice”.

“I thought, ‘Wow, that’s it, that’s the big idea!” Goddard tells. “It was almost like God was just putting this thing in front of me and I couldn’t ignore it.”

Seven months and many taste tests later, YesJuice has temporarily resided in Showfields as a pop-up.

However, Goddard has big plans for the brand. She mentions offering online distribution to fans outside of South Florida and juice cleaning for a variety of focuses. But in the end she says, “We’re coming for Starbucks. There are plenty of juice places out there, but there isn’t a single nationwide brand that we all know. And coffee is great, but I think it’s time to put juice at the forefront of this conversation. “

“I come from the entertainment business so I’m used to crazy turnaround time,” adds Goddard. “So now I’m ready to work nationwide and my team says, ‘Julz, we changed this so quickly that you should be proud of where you are!’ And I say, “I’m ready to be in whole foods!”
