“As law enforcement officers, we have a higher standard of society, both on and off duty. Immediately after being informed of an incident that occurred in the Palm Beach City Gardens on April 25, 2021, I ordered that John Jenkins Jr. be released from his official duties as a lieutenant in the Miami Dade Police Department. “
“Now, upon learning of his arrest, he has produced a sense of disappointment that is immeasurable. This is serious business and I am confident that the Palm Beach Gardens City Police Department will continue to conduct a thorough investigation. ”
