Miami-Dade mayor: Organizations inundated with supplies for Surfside victims but still accepting monetary donations – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

SURFSIDE, FLA. (WSVN) – Community members continue to show their support for the victims of the partial building collapse at Surfside.

On Friday morning, Miami-Dade Mayoress Daniella Levine Cava said the county has reached a limit on the supplies collected for the displaced.

“At this point we have received all donations in kind and volunteers that we can process,” she said. “We are very, very grateful to everyone who contributed and will let people know when they need to.”

Bal Harbor Shul organizers also said they are inundated with supplies and are now trying to figure out how best to distribute them to the survivors.

However, clubs continue to accept donations.

At 8 a.m. on Friday, 159 people remained missing while 120 people were recorded.
