Good Samaritans rush to help victims of rollover wreck in Brickell; no injuries – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports
MIAMI (WSVN) – Strangers took action after a driver and several passengers were involved in a rollover in Miami’s bustling Brickell neighborhood.
Miami City Police and Fire Brigade responded shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday to the scene of the accident near Southwest 13th Street and South Miami Avenue near the SLS building.
“You got at least five people out of there, all of them unharmed. Nobody was injured, ”said witness Bryan Colome.
Colome said he was working at the Infinity at Brickell Building nearby at the time of the incident.
“I heard a really bad bang,” he said.
Colome said he went outside, and that’s when he noticed the car had overturned and ran over there.
“I was just about to get in, but as you can see in the video, everyone has already worked, everyone has helped,” he said.
The Good Samaritans broke windows and pushed open doors to reach the people inside.
“Try the trunk, try the trunk!” one of them can be heard saying on the cell phone video.
“When they all stepped in, it was good to see everyone trying,” said Colome.
Fortunately, said the witness, everyone in the car was fine.
Colome said he was just grateful that it didn’t get any worse.
“I’m glad everyone is fine in this car,” he said. “This vehicle can be replaced. You can not.”
The police did not provide any further details about the accident until late Saturday evening.
