Four Miami lifestyle gurus tell us how to get ready for the New Year
The new year is a new beginning – or something like that? Most of us would love to get together in 2018, but even the most motivated soul seeker will tell you that self-transformation is daunting. To ease the transition to a fully updated person (or some other better version of you next year), we’ve recruited four of Miami’s top lifestyle experts with experience in personal development to talk about energy, closets, careers, and yes to speak to yourself.
Singer is the secret of many migrants in Miami and brings years of experience in recruiting companies with ambitious upstarts across South Florida. Reach out to Singer (and his blog!) To learn how to spruce up your LinkedIn profile and revise your resume, as well as finding strategies for a successful job search.
Transform Your Career: “Make sure your resume clearly shows an ongoing success story. Prepare yourself with concrete, strategic examples of how you have demonstrated professional success, measurably improved the overall profitability of your employer and increased the performance of your fellow human beings through coaching and mentoring. “
Although best known for her popular style blog, The Fashion Poet, Vazquez’s spiritual side draws the Miamians to her latest project, Annie the Alchemist. In addition to sharing their finds – from Miami-made candles and crystals to sage and affirmation cards – Vazquez offers chakra balancing in individual and group sessions to help clients release energy zones and overcome obstacles.
Transform your energy: “Start a morning wellness routine that will set the tone for your day. Then buy a diary and write in it daily, be it personal gratitude, notes or goals. Writing gives clarity to the things in our head and in our heart. It helps us stay positive and bring good things into our lives. “

Behind every well-dressed Miami man is Fogel. Often at the suggestion of a wife or friend, Fogel’s customers hire him to bring their style into shape. The stylist and his team have made a name for themselves for cleaning and editing cabinets and then styling them for the man who wants to take his fashion to another level.
Transform your closet: “We have to be honest with ourselves. Have you worn this in the last six months or did you just want it? “
Your guide on the journey to self-discovery, Novo holds monthly “Centered” courses designed to bring you closer to your own soul purpose. She will guide you through meditation, manifestation and initiation of daily spiritual practice. If you can’t do the physical course at Coral Gables, Novo streams it live to their private Facebook group, where they make Q&A, expert workshops, notes and meditations available to all.
Change your outlook: “In 2017, many of us decided what we no longer want in our lives. This year is about implementing new, positive thought patterns and beliefs that really serve us and get us where we want to be. In this way we will experience real change – by paying careful attention to how we think and what influences we allow in our lives. ”
