Florida’s COVID-19 Hospitalizations Dip Below 11,000 – CBS Miami
MIAMI (CBSMiami / NSF) – Florida continues to see fewer patients hospitalized with COVID-19.
According to data released on the U.S. Department of Health’s website, 10,979 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized at 228 Florida hospitals on Tuesday.

A week earlier, 13,628 patients were reported with COVID-19 in 229 Florida hospitals.

The number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 rose sharply in the past two months as the highly contagious Delta variant of the coronavirus spread across the state.
But the number of inpatients for COVID-19 has recently declined. Overall, according to the federal website, around 83% of hospital beds in the state were occupied by inpatients on Tuesday.
