Miamians can order tortas from Mario Lopez, visit Mariah Carey’s biscuits and Guy Fieri’s Flavortown without leaving home.

Now the comedian George Lopez has been put into action and is offering tacos in the Magic City starting today, June 8th.

Lopez, best known for his ABC television sitcom of the same name, which ran for six seasons and voiced Papi who loved Chloe’s dog in Beverly Hills Chihuahua, actually owns a brewery, brewpub, and three restaurants in California, along with an additional one Restaurant in Arizona.

His virtual taqueria, George Lopez Tacos, is a partnership with the virtual restaurant company Nextbite. The tacos are also available in Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco and Seattle – and now in Miami too.

The menu consists of cheekily named street taco combinations that arrive ready to be put together.

“La Chingona” ($ 13) comes in a choice of chicken tinga, pork carnitas, or beef ranch verde, along with freshly diced onions and coriander, salsa verde, pickled onions, roasted jalapeños, masa tortillas, and lime wedges. “La Mas Cabrona” ($ 14) adds avocado crema and fire-roasted peppers and onions to the mix.

Family meals are available and feed four to eight. The menu also features chips and guacamole, churro canapes, and Mexican colas.

Alex Canter, CEO and founder of Nextbite, tells the New Times that his company worked on the menu through “countless conversations and taste tests”.

Canter says the recipes were developed in consultation with Lopez, who was determined to offer “authentic, flavorful street taco recipes he believed in to diners at his eponymous restaurant. George grew up, learned, and watched in his grandmother’s kitchen.” to her as she cooked some of his “. favorite mexican flavors. He wanted to translate this taste and this experience. ”
