Broward County Opens Door To Ease COVID Restrictions – CBS Miami

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Broward County’s Mayor Steve Geller announced on Friday that the county’s vaccination rate had reached a new milestone. It opens the door to ease restrictions even further.

“We got a 50% vaccination rate and an adult vaccination rate in Broward County today. So now all of our outdoor activities have reopened, our Broward County Parks. You no longer have to wear masks. When you play golf, you no longer have to wear maskers. If you play golf you can now touch the pen and the rakes, the bars, and so on, ”said Geller.

Despite the changes, the mayor has noticed spikes and persistence rates of positivity in some cases, deterring Broward from fully reopening.
