Appeals Court Denies Emergency Petition To Stop Eviction Of Former Cuban Political Prisoner Ana Lazara Rodriguez – CBS Miami
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A state appeals court has denied an emergency petition to stop the eviction of former Cuban political prisoner Ana Lazara Rodriguez from her home in South Florida.
According to CBS4 news partner The Miami Herald, Rodriguez’s attorneys filed for suspension so they could appeal to the state’s Supreme Court.

Rodriguez has been in a legal battle since February to save her home. Her attorney Bruce Jacobs claims that her foreclosure was illegal because it violated the Florida RICO statute because it contained a robo signed mortgage assignment and fake stamped confirmation.

Rodriguez received a final eviction notice on Saturday, September 11th. Her lawyers plan to file a new emergency application, but the eviction could come on Tuesday.
