The bodies of a child and an adult were found in Unit 2308, according to the FLPD. The department has not released names, but a family representative identified both the 4-year-old boy and the adult in a statement to CBS4.
“Greyson Martin Kessler’s family is devastated by the loss of our little boy. Greyson was the nicest, brightest, and liveliest kid we ever knew.
“Greyson’s mother, Alison Kessler, did everything possible to protect her child from harm. We feel that the system has failed us on every level, from your lawyer to the police to the court system.
“There were many red flags from John Stacey that were never responded to, despite Alison reporting on his bizarre and threatening behavior and going through all the right channels. This tragedy could have been prevented if appropriate steps had been taken to help Alison and Greyson.

“Greyson was the light of our life, and the world is darker without him. If you want to help, you can donate to our GoFundMe. “
GoFundMe organizers Sydney McLane and Ali Kessler claim it was a suicide.
According to the South Florida Sun Sentinel, the boy’s mother received an email from a judge who refused to deny her request for an emergency pickup less than 12 hours after the bodies were discovered. The judge said the motion “is not an emergency as it addresses the issue of visiting children.”
Residents who live in the area say they are shocked.
