$26 Million Miami Beach Mansion Under Construction Has 150 Feet of Water Frontage
A villa under construction in Miami Beach, Florida, built for Russian-born Victoria’s Secret model Vita Sidorkina and her husband, Italian-born developer Valerio Morabito, is now available for $ 26 million.
The glass and stone property on Sunset Island, known as Canal House, is being developed by Mr. Morabito.
“I built the modern house for us, but my wife loves the traditional style house we currently live in,” said Morabito. That is why he brought the villa, which is planned to be completed in the summer, to the market on Thursday with realtor Douglas Elliman.
The couple own a house nearby.
Mr. Morabito, 43, acquired the property in 2012 for $ 5.6 million, according to public records. He then tore down the old house and commissioned the architects Max Strang and Michele Bonan to design the contemporary residence.
Inspired by its natural landscape, the oceanfront mansion has an entrance surrounded by reflective ponds and gardens, a first floor 13 feet above sea level, a six-car garage, a 90-foot pool, and one 50 foot water front.
The 10,100-square-foot living space includes six bedrooms, six bathrooms, three powder rooms, a kitchen with Miele and Sub-Zero appliances, a formal dining room with 12 seats, two media rooms, a gym, a wine cellar, and two guest suites, as listed.
The three-quarter acre property is one of the largest in Miami Beach, said stockbroker Eloy Carmenate, who is handling the sale with colleague Mick Duchon.
“The tropical modern house really stands out with its completely clear glass facade, which is framed by teak and stone. It is one that will go down in the architectural history of Miami,” said Carmenate.
Mr. Morabito previously developed a townhouse on Manhattan’s Upper East Side that was sold to Chinese real estate mogul Xin Zhang in 2013 for $ 26 million.
Ms. Sidorkin, 23, was a model at the 2015 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and recently appeared in the 2018 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.
